$14.75
Gold overlay casting pendant. Obverse: laureate draped bust facing left, CONSTANTINVS IVN NOB C. Reverse: PROVIDENTIAE CAESS, a camp gate with two turrets and a star above. This version is a gold overlay casting set in a hand-formed sterling silver bezel. Inscriptions explained: CONSTANTINVS IVN NOB C is short for ‘Constantinus Iunior Nobilissimus Caesar’, ‘Constantine the Younger, Most Noble Caesar’. PROVIDENTIAE CAESS means ‘to the foresight of the Caesars’ (CAESS, with the doubled S, means more than one Caesar).
