Corinth’s coins showed Pegasus, the winged horse tamed by the Corinthian hero Bellerophon with Athena’s help. These ‘colts’ were used throughout the Greek world. The word COPY is stamped on modern replicas to meet the US Hobby Protection Act of 1973.

KM-995-Gold-SS Corinth Pegasus and Athena Stater in Silver Bezel
$15.00
Gold overlay casting pendant. One side shows Pegasus flying left; the other the head of Athena facing left in a Corinthian helmet. The casting is stamped COPY. This version is a gold overlay casting set in a hand-formed sterling silver bezel. Inscriptions explained: COPY is a modern stamp, not part of the ancient coin; US law requires it on replicas.
